The Foundation Practices of the Dudjom Tersar; two weekend retreats with Lama Rangbar

  • Bodhivastu Center, the Academy of Mantric Sciences 119 Roosevelt Drive Poughquag, NY, 12570 United States (map)

Dear Bodhivastu Community Members, Students and Friends,

At the request of several of our Sangha members, this April 15th & 16th and April 22nd & 23rd, Lama Rangbar will be offering complete teachings on the Long Dudjom Tersar Ngondro, or Foundational Practices of the Ancient Ones (Nyingma).  This is a rare and unique opportunity to receive the transmission and learn the precious enlightenment practices of His Holiness Dudjom Rinpoche.

For those who attended the October Ngondro teaching, this is Part Two, and a continuation, however, you may still attend if this is your first Ngondro teaching. The opportunity to join the Ngondro teaching will not be offered again soon. Attendance of both complete weekend sessions is mandatory.

We advise all beginning and advanced practitioners to make special efforts to attend these teachings since they form the base for receiving subsequent stages from Lama Rangbar.

"Many may think that Ngondro practice is the beginner's practice that one has to get through in order to go on to more advanced practices.  Although this is partially true, they are in fact the base of the entire path condensed into an easy to understand and easy to relate to daily practice that leads us to the citadel of perfect Buddhahood while assuring that the quality of our daily life improves greatly.  When practiced with proper instruction which intrinsically combine the Ngondro with the Dzogchen Great Perfection teachings, there is truly nothing more profound”.

The retreat will be held at the Bodhivastu Center, the Academy of Mantric Sciences, in Poughquag, NY and also via live HD Webinar.  Physical attendance is recommended as it is a more effective way to approach the teachings.  Our online version is being offered as an alternative for those who truly cannot make it in person.

Teachings will start on Saturdays at 9:30 AM until 12:00 PM.  They will resume at 2:00 PM and finish at 5:30 PM.  The schedule on Sundays will be similar.

The cost of the retreat for both weekends is $400 and $275 for remote attendance and can be paid in advance by going to:
