The Practice of Riwo Sang Cho, “The Mountain of Purified Offerings.”

  • Lotus Light Center 501 Arthur Street Knoxville, TN, 37921 United States (map)

Riwo Sang Cho is a fire offering ritual that is a powerful method for increasing prosperity, purifying obscurations, and practicing the essence of Dzogchen.  It is an incense fire offering practice found in Lhatsun Namkha Jigmed’s treasure cycle called the Rigdzin Tsog Drup, “The Precious Life Force Accomplishment of the Awareness Holders.”  This is an incredibly important practice found in almost all Tibetan lineages, and is very useful in the face of modern challenges. The daily practice can help remove obstacles to obtaining our worldly wishes, but more importantly clears away hindrances on the path of Dharma, benefitting all beings in the process.   Riwo Sang Chod issues forth from the ground of Dzogchen, and so the entire text is in fact a Dzogchen text, a gateway into the nature of our own mind.

In this event, Lama Rangbar will explain the structure, benefits and ultimate meaning of the practice, and also guide us through the practice so those attending can go forward to practice confidently on their own.
